Game Controller

You can pair a bluetooth (or USB) game controller, such as an Xbox One or PS4 controller, with your device and use it to manage the camera and stream.

Pairing a controller

Pairing a game controller with your device is done in the Bluetooth settings on your device. Different devices will have different pairing methods, but the general process is:

  • set the controller to pairing mode
  • open the Settings app and go into Bluetooth
  • Find the device at the bottom of the screen and tap it to pair

Zooming

A game controller will enable fine control over zooming, allowing you to zoom in and out at variable speeds. To zoom the camera with a paired controller, move the right joystick (#8) on the controller up (to zoom in) or down (to zoom out).

General Controls

Controller Reference

The Controls setting tab in the app settingswill list the controller buttons and their functions for the current collection.

There are three menus that can be accessed directly from the game controller:

  • Setup Menu - accessed with the menu button (#6)
  • Scene Menu - accessed with the options button (#5)
  • Game Action Menu - accessed with the X button (#4)

When a menu is open and the game controller is paired, a yellow box will appear around the current active menu selection

Use the left and right buttons on the direction pad (#7) to highlight items from the menu. To choose the highlighted item, press the A button (#1). To cancel without making a selection, press the B button (#2)

Replays

The controller can be used to trigger an instant replay (immediate playback in a window) or to capture a replay to play later.

Replay Buffer

By default, the replay buffer is not running when the app first starts. You can start it from the Setup menu, or you can simply try to capture a replay - if the replay buffer is not running when you trigger a replay, it will be started (but no replay will be captured at that time).

You can also use the Options for a themed collection to enable the replay buffer automatically. When this option is enabled, the replay buffer will start when that collection is loaded.

Instant Replay

To execute an instant replay, where the replay plays back immediately in a window, hold the right button on the direction pad (#7) and tap the Y button (#3).

Capture Replay to play later

To capture a replay but not play it immediately, tap the Y button (#3)

Play the most recent replay

To play back the most recent replay, hold the up button on the direction pad (#7) and tap the Y button (#3). This will play the most recent replay full screen.

Select and play back a replay

To select and play back a replay, hold the left button on the direction pan (#7) and tap the Y button. This will open a menu with the captured replays to select and play back full screen.

Theme Media

Theme Video

To select and play a theme video, hold down the right button on the direction pad (#7) and tap the X button (#4). This will open a menu and allow you to select a theme video to play.

Theme Images

To select and show a theme mage, hold down the left button on the direction pad (#7) and tap the X button (#4). This will open a menu and allow you to select a theme image to display.

Theme Audio

To select and play a theme audio clip, hold down the down button on the direction pad (#7) and tap the X button (#4). This will open a menu and allow you to select a theme audio clip to play.

Multiple Camera Switching

When using multiple cameras, you can switch to another camera by holding the right button on the direction pad (#7) and tapping the A button (#1). This will open a menu allowing you to select from the connected cameras

To switch back to the main camera on the streaming device, hold left on the direction pad (#7) and tap the A button (#1). This will instantly switch back to the main camera.
